Rules

The series will be run as a BARCS mini glider league event, but flown to F3K flight tasks.

BARCS rules will apply, with the exception of the following local rules:

1. A minimum of 5 rounds will be flown to count towards a league score. A sixth round will be flown if conditions allow, and your lowest score round will be dropped.

2.   Launch and land inside the flight box area.  Outside for either = a Zero score. On landing, all of the model must be in the box to score.

3. No limit to the number of models that may be used during the competition, but only one can be in the box during the slot time. Only the pilot can change his model during a slot and this must be done outside the flight box. Infringement of either or both rule’s will result in a 50% penalty of your score in that slot only. All models parked on the edge of the box are at the pilots own risk.

4. Blue sky rules apply. No re flight for mid air’s.

5. Hitting another pilot with your model, when either launching or landing your own model will result in a 50% penalty of your score in that slot only.

6.   5 minutes preparation time is allowed between slots. Test flying during this time is permitted subject to frequency clearance, which is the pilots responsibility. This time period could be subject to variation from slot to slot. It is the pilots responsibility to be aware of the CD’s announcements. Any one test flying when a slot could be started before the 5 minute period is up will be required to land immediately. A pilot’s failure to comply will result in a 50% penalty of their score for that round only.

7. Assisted launching due to age or incapacity will be allowed subject to CD’s discretion.

8 Pilots launching by bungee must advise their requirement with their entry, and must supply their own BARCS compliant bungee. Depending on prevailing conditions, for safety reasons, a bungee launch area can be sited at either or both ends of the flight box. Landings will be required within the flight box to count.
